She believes that meaningful change begins with understanding the underlying patterns that shape our thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships. Her goal is to help clients cultivate self-acceptance, emotional intelligence, and the confidence to create lasting change in their lives.
A significant focus of Kristina’s work is couples therapy. She specializes in helping couples strengthen communication, rebuild trust, deepen emotional connection, navigate conflict, heal from infidelity and betrayal, and foster healthier relationship dynamics. Her approach is collaborative, structured, and tailored to each couple’s unique needs and goals. She incorporates evidence-based modalities including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and attachment-based interventions to support couples in creating stronger, more secure relationships.
Kristina is uniquely equipped to help clients process and recover from the lasting effects of trauma. Her trauma-informed approach prioritizes emotional safety, empowerment, and resilience while recognizing the profound impact trauma can have on the mind, body, and relationships. She integrates evidence-based approaches such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), mindfulness-based interventions, and attachment-focused treatment to help clients heal from past experiences and reclaim a sense of stability, self-worth, and personal agency.
As a Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professional, Kristina provides specialized support for individuals and couples navigating concerns related to intimacy, sexuality, sexual functioning, desire discrepancies, performance anxiety, sexual shame, compulsive sexual behaviors, and relationship satisfaction. She creates a safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can openly explore sensitive topics, improve communication around intimacy, and develop healthier and more satisfying relationships.
Kristina’s therapeutic style is warm, engaging, and highly individualized. She utilizes an integrative approach that combines psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), attachment-based therapy, mindfulness practices, positive psychology, and solution-focused interventions. She recognizes the powerful connection between mind, body, and emotional well-being and often incorporates mindfulness, self-compassion, and strengths-based strategies to support clients in achieving meaningful and sustainable growth.
Known for her authenticity, compassion, and direct yet supportive approach, Kristina strives to create a welcoming, judgment-free space where clients feel safe to be vulnerable, explore challenges, and embrace personal transformation. She believes that therapy is a collaborative process and is dedicated to helping clients build insight, strengthen resilience, improve relationships, and live more intentional and fulfilling lives.
