Meet Abigail, a dedicated psychotherapist committed to empowering her clients to unlock their full potential and lead fulfilling lives. Creating a secure and collaborative therapeutic environment is paramount to Abigail, as she believes in the transformative power of positive, healthy change achieved through partnership with her clients. With a bachelor’s degree in psychology from High Point University and a master’s in education in Mental Health Counseling from Fordham University, Abigail brings a wealth of academic knowledge and practical experience to her practice.
Her professional journey includes diverse experiences working with individuals across the lifespan, from children to seniors. Before joining EVOLVE Integrative Psychotherapy, Abigail served as a behavioral health intern at a pediatric practice affiliated with a prominent New York hospital, where she gained valuable insights into family dynamics and interpersonal relationships. This experience deepened her understanding of effective communication, problem-solving, and collaboration strategies.
Abigail's counseling philosophy is rooted in the belief that everyone possesses the capacity for growth, and therapy serves as a conduit for this process. She tailors her approach to each client's unique needs and goals, drawing from modalities such as Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
